Museum will open from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm

to commemorate the Rail crash. There will be Photo displays and a DVD of the recollections of survivors and people there on the day. Please come along & chat with us if you have memories of the event.

A book on the Crash and a DVD are available from the museum. The full museum will be open.

COMMEMORATION OF THE
CAMP MOUNTAIN RAIL CRASH Monday 2nd May 2022

. . . the stories behind the Queenland's worst ever train disaster. See displays featuring photos, documentary reports and interviews of some who were touched by the crash. Maps to the site in McLean Road South, Camp Mountain will be available at the Museum.

. . . in and around the old Ferny Grove Station building, relocated to Samford Museum grounds in 1988 where a commemorative plaque has been placed.

 

This display is included in admission to the museum complex, which also houses the old Grovely Station, now transformed into a locally based War Memories display.
